Before loading pine straw in my car, I put each bale in a 30 gallon "contractor" trash bag (it's a sturdier plastic than the usual trash bag mil). On occasion, I've even put a couple of bales in my back seat if it is a new bag. Keeps the vehicle spic and span.

Been using Pine Straw now for 3 yrs and haven't found one tick or snake (probably shouldn't have said that since it will come back to bite me for sure)
