Our home was new and the lawn was still growing in. This summer the grass has gotten very thick (and beautiful) but now because of the nature of St. Augustine grass it continually gets stuck. The weight of the mower sinks into the squishy grass. Alas, we have decided to retire our friend, Radar. If you had Zoysia grass or newer, less thick St. A, it works great. We built him a nice charging house that he goes in and out of freely. We are going to list it as a one room home with landscaper included. Let us know if you are interested.

Thanks for sharing! Been fascinated by turf grass all my life. Even stopped by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) just off I-75 recently and wandered their little test field as we were going by Tifton on a recent drive back from the mountains. Have made a hobby of attempting to suppress the Bermuda in my beautiful zoysia. *May* be making some progress. . .

Saw them in South Carolina and they were okay. The real problem is grass I had in Michigan and South Carolina was real grass not the green stuff here. SC got real questionable in being grass. Everyone’s Pepsi can feel safe.

I'd only consider that in an enclosed Veranda style yard. If the robo mower can be seen from the street, it can disappear.
