Default Should I re-sod my St Augistine lawn now

In VA, this time of year it would be a waste of time and money to plant or sod grass.

Any recommendations for someone to do sodding and give me the truth about when is the best time to do it. I have St Augustine.

Default sod

Now that the summer rains have started it is a good time to re-sod. Try to get it done before October, as the later in the year you wait the slower the growth. Although things don't really stop growing until November or December, but you want it to take a good hold before then. Also, don't have it done earlier in the year than April, as we alway have a late cold snap in mid to late March. So now is a great time to sod your yard.
