Skin Graft

Hi there,

I hope your nose heals quickly.

I need someone to do some weeding then spread some pine bark nuggets.
Estimate 3-4 hours.

I’m not in a rush and will pay $100 if you are interested?

My name is Lanie, I can be reached on: 336 337 5885.

Thanks

Unfortunately I'm 4 hours away right now and won't be back til next week. And the whole "open wound on the face" thing makes me a bit nervous about stirring up dust and debris.

Okkkk. Now we all are aware of your skin issue. Back to the topic

IMO really not worth for somebody to drive over there for you estimated 40 mins. Work based on hourly wage. Most jobs around here are contracted. When means they added in the cost of transportation, tools, and time.

Agree, the OP stated “$15 - $20 per hour,” which sounded fair. But then, the job takes : “under 40 minutes.” Offer not as good when put that way. I would think a kid would want $15-$20 just for coming over. And then he might have to bring over his own tools.

What about a neighbor? Someone retired, in good shape, interested in helping another Villager?

All good points...
I recommended the HS or a church since OP asked for non contractors. But at this stage, maybe opening it up to a neighbor in ‘FL friendliest hometown’ is the way to go. Agree that it should be a flat rate for the ‘40 minutes’.

Make a trip to Ace or Lowe’s or Home Depot to purchase a rake and lawn bags, you will need them if you want to become a Floridian!

I was hoping my post wishing that I could do this for the OP would inspire other Villagers to chime in with actual offers to help.

Instead, I was chided by someone for telling people why I was unable to help.

Go grab the girl with her dog at Lowe’s on 441.She’s always looking for money. GOOD LUCK!

Hopefully a young person even 20’s will see or hear about your need & anxious for extra $$. $20~$25 per hour would be a nice rate for you & the worker. A professional would charge $200+

I think that the person who mows your lawn would do it for a lot less than $200.

Or her husband across street.

No time to volunteer than now. Right butt cheek. I’m down in back after cleaning up my yard with 4 bags full of yard waste.

The person need not be experienced, only needs common sense, ability to follow directions and work fairly quickly.

I am only in town a few days,
and have no tools here except a broom and dust pan. Will pay cash. Prefer an ordinary young person needing extra cash, not a contractor.

This is my first post on here so I hope I can figure out how to see replies!

I’ll come and do it for you. No payment necessary to me. Just provide what you would have paid me to help someone else; maybe one of the panhandlers that get pilloried regularly on this site.

I’ll send you a private message so I can get your address and an idea of exactly what I need to bring.

I would be glad to help you for free, but I'm leaving on Monday 30th.

Afraid young people will likely not be interested in manual labor of any kind nowadays. Maybe back in the day, but no longer.

A professional what? A professional yard-cleaner-upper? A professional lawn-raker? C'mon. This is the kind of job the guy who already mows your lawn for $50 a month will do for an extra $20 a few times a year.
