I was there a while back, then had to get it repaired last year. So far so good.

Good Luck.

I hope you are not reporting having found out you have one. It is a stressful thing. I went through it a couple years ago, and finally got it repaired about a year ago. The "good" news is once they repair it, most of the time there are no restrictions on your activity.

My brother had a dissection at 53.......he lived to tell about it and just had his 66th birthday. 5% survival rate for him when it happened and he made it with near a year recovery. He had a repair on the original surgery last year and is back to his routine. Miracles do happen.

I was lucky to have my VA doctor 8 years ago schedule me to have a scan. Sure enough they found a six cm aortic aneurysm. After the less evasive procedure to get it secured I now go in yearly to get a scan.
