Amen Gina!!! All it takes is for corona to touch you closely and I believe all would be on a different band wagon!! My friends traveling partners died in different hospitals a day apart, neither knew each other passed..At 51 & healthy!! I’m wearing a mask..and you also can’t pick where u think you are going to contract it either..wear a mask at Publix but not at stein mart..go figure..

I do agree with you. We still need to be very careful. It’s a learning virus and I for one plan to still do everything I can to stay healthy.

ditto

Given that we don't even know what we don't know about this...and we can't really trust that the information we are getting is totally unbiased....I've taken control and am running my life the way I believe will be a safe path

There's still a lot that I want to do yet

The comment falls in line with what experts at WHO have been stressing for months: Most coronavirus spread happens through sustained close contact between people indoors — in homes, offices, churches, hospitals, and other settings where people come together for hours at a time and airflow is restricted.

So getting out is now better than staying in.

What WHO said is not what most of us take from the headline. Read the article.
That is not what it means. Asymptomatic means the person IS infected but does not show or feel any symptoms. Those are the people WHO is talking about as being rare cases of transmission. Symptomatic people are also infected and those with even mild symptoms should wear a mask because they CAN spread the virus.

We have no clue as to how many people out there had the virus but were asymptomatic and now would test negative because the odds are they never got tested in the first place. Those people are no threat.

I was with a friend yesterday who told me about her family’s loss. A younger daughter was caring for her father during COVID19 by bringing him groceries and other necessities so he didnt have to go out. He became ill and they both tested positive. He recently passed away. She was asymptomatic and passed it to him. So there is truth to the fact that someone can carry the virus without being sick.

The stock market seems to disagree with the idea that the economy has been destroyed.

Van Kerkhove also said that what appear to be asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 often turn out to be cases of mild disease.

Default Mask wearing for those who still work

There is just a degree of paranoia like I have never seen before?
Giving a little dose of what is happening in the world of people who are not yet retired -- employees at all offices in my company are now required to wear a mask when away from their desks. At my employer's production facilities, employees must wear a mask at all times, plus have their temperatures checked before their shift.

When I return to working in my office 2 days a week starting next week, I wonder what would happen if I marched into the VP of HR's office and said, "Masks are virtually useless. I ain't wearing a mask." I wonder how fast I would be terminated? Considering the unemployment rate is greater than 13%, I think I will stick with wearing a mask in my office.

The mask policy does not only apply at my company. A few of my friends must also wear a mask when they are working in their offices.

The WHO seems to flip flop every other day. I am not convinced that asymptomatic people seldom spread the virus. That is just my opinion before you jump all over my statement. My mind goes back to an a symptomatic woman who spread disease that lead to many deaths. You may remember her as Typhoid Mary. I believe that the World Health Organization is succumbing to political pressure. It seems that politics sadly drives the world.

Medical professionals have been double masking for months for hours and hours every day. Their brains haven’t been so effected that they cannot treat their patients. I’m not buying the nitrogen/mask reference.
