Dr Reb is an Orthopedist who works out of Gainesville and has an office on 441 on Thursday mornings. He reconfigured my crushed heel after a fall from a ladder, a devastating injury, and I am walking and playing golf again.

I broke my ankle during my first round of golf since my "triple by-pass surgery" :( It has not been a great start to living the good life!! LoL I had to have surgery to repair two breaks: The Orthopedic Institute on 441, Dr. Krueger did the surgery. The therapy was also done there. Both were professional and friendly. I recommend them

Best wishes in finding someone a competent dr that you trust and for the whole process. I have had a lot of foot surgeries ( not in FL) & they require patience. Its hard bcs you cant bear any weight while the bones are mending. This means you have to rely on others even for small tasks. If I was already moved to TV I would help you.

Orthopedic institute - rt 441 - dont need an appt

Wherever you may look, be sure to find out how many related surgeries they have done. A minimum of 250 would be my cutoff. You want experience, not a stepping stone on some resident's learning curve. Given existing pressures to lower healthcare costs, many such procedures are pushed down to the lowest/cheapest level of care provider, which often excludes those who are best at it. Don't compromise on experience.
