Exclamation Cardiologist

Does anyone know of a cardiologist specializing in Thoracic Aneurysms? We will be moving to The Villages in the Spring. I have a great cardiologist in Chicago at Northwestern Memorial Hospital but will need to find a new one when I move. Also, I am having a knee replacement in the fall & will need a good ortho to follow up with. THANKS!!

My husband signed up with the Monroe Group. Hasn't had to see them yet but they followed up with a phone call and information when he contacted them.

I am a graduate of Passavant Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, (Now Northwestern Memorial).

I use Florida Heart and Vascular. They are affiliated with the University of FL. My doctor is Dr Hurt, but they have many physicians and some have different sub specialties.

Default Does anyone have reccomendations for an "electrician" Cardiologist

They say cardiologists come in two varieties...plumbers and electricians. The plumbers go in and place stents and open clogs, the electricians deal with arrythmias. I need an elcetrician amd am moving this Friday. It is really called electrosomething. Anyone else deal with arrythmias?

I have PSVT. Which is Paroxysmal subra ventricular tachycardia.

Have never had an episode since moving to The Villages. I take verapamil. I see Dr Hurt at Florida Heart and Vascular.

Default Thoracic Surgeons

alicehelen:

There are 2 Thoracic Surgeons listed on Page 11 in the local Central Florida Physician Directory:

http://leesburgregional.photobooks.c...rgregional.pdf

It also suggests for further information, contact CFHAlliance.org or call 800-889-3755 (Local: 323-1000)

Good luck to you. Hope this helps.

I believe there are only 2 electrophysiologists in this area. I go to Dr. Miguel Bryce. He has offices in Leesburg and Tavares. He is excellent.

Forget Monroe group. We contacted them that we are now here full time and he can't get in with the doctor that he wanted, not taking new patients.

They have some doctors working their satellite office here but that's not who he wanted so the search is on again.

Munroe group has been great for us. Any procedure that has to be done you will get to see the specialist in that procedure, no matter which cardioloigst in the group you have. Munroe Hospital is excellent for Heart related problems.

My husband and I are here just one year - he has MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) and was told it is not repairable and at some point will have to be replaced. He is seeing Dr. Georg
Couturier @ Florida Cardiology, 1149 Main St., (Spanish Springs), 307-8554. Like him very much - very reassuring, answered all of our questions and we felt very comfortable with him.

You may also want to check your co/insurance provider if you have one. Most medical groups accept a variety of plans (besides Medicare) but good to be sure.
