Dr. Scott Wehrly with Lake Eye (in the Sharon Morse building) did both of my eyes 2 weeks apart. Very pleased! No problems what so ever.

Dr. Ireland at St Luke's in the Villages did both of my eyes and everything went as planned . She and her staff are outstanding as is their state of the art facility. They had a van pick me up and bring me back home on both surgery days.

Dr Holman from lake eye associates did my eyes two week apart. Very good. Just had them done and am on my last two weeks of eye drops in my left eye. No problems. Check your insurance to see if the drops are covered. One of mine was not.doctor gave me a coupon to use for those drops.cost for three different drops costs me about $350.00. Operation was covered by insurance thank goodness. I had the basic covered by Medicare.

If you haven't read it yet, I would recommend Dr David Richardson's book, "So, You've Got A Cataract?" which is available in a Kindle edition (easy readability).

Dr. Keith Charles at Mid-Florida Eye. I praise the miracle of his doing. I can see golf ball landings, tennis balls, drive at night, etc.

Very professional staff and surgery center is adjacent to their office in Summerfield (near Walmart) on 441.

Because of my sport's activities, I chose the distance lens and the slightly more expensive ones. My copay was $375 per eye and well worth it. Their surgeons have done over 10,000 combined.

Thanks, I will add him to my list for my insurance company. I assume the $375 per eye copay did not include the lenses upgrade.

I need a referral for an eye doctor but need someone who had cataracts with a toric lens ( to repair a stigmatism) in possibly both eyes ..to improve distance vision
The cost was 2000.00 per eye which is ridiculous since its out of pocket .. anyone have any suggestions for someone who charges less?

Does anyone have a Medicare Advantage policy that is accepted at St Lukes, Dr Ireland.

I would be looking to switch providers if they cover the surgery at St Lukes.
