I don't think I've ever heard of a bad one. Dr Zeini at Villages Eyes did mine and I'm happy with the results.

Dr. Keith Charles of Mid-Florida Eye is outstanding. Their group advertises more than 100,000 cataracts in Central Florida. They have two offices here in The Villages area and accept The Villages Health Plan.

Dr. Baumann did my husband's second cataract. Husband had had lasix surgery on that eye which any doctor could see. Dr. did measurements. long story short, the wrong lens was put in and now my husband has to wear glasses. Dr. kind of blamed husband because he didn't tell him about the lasiz surgery

I had my first eye surgery today at St. Luke's by Dr. Ireland. I was very impressed with the care and professionalism of Dr. Ireland and her whole staff. Must admit, I was very nervous, would rather have a tooth pulled than someone touching my eyes.

Everyone in that facility reassured me that all would be fine and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The surgery went very well, no pain at all and it was in and out. Pre-op and post-op procedures took more time than the actual surgery.

I've had no pain all day but am sleeping a lot, from the anesthesia. That's just me but its nice to just relax after being so nervous.

Having second eye done this week and I'm sure I'll be much less nervous and all will be fine.

I would highly recommend St. Luke's and Dr. Ireland and her staff.

BTW, I chose not to have my vision corrected because I love my glasses, been wearing them since the 3rd grade and it would be like cutting off my nose, lol. I'd look really strange.

They do ask for a Medical History including previous surgeries. Lasik is kind of an important procedure to just forget to mention.
