You rascal you. We know you're the teacher's pet!

Ok, Ok. I admit it.

I'm so embarrassed. Now I'll have to change my nom de plume. What should I use as a new one?

What scientific studies are there to back up the following "universal truth" about eating a healthful diet: "Everything in moderation"

I think you personally agree with eating "everything in moderation"; how could you not?
I think you don't trust that people recognize what moderation actually means - no extremes.
You can trust us Wrinklies, we're a pretty smart bunch. :icon_wink:

Junk-food in moderation is still junk. The declaration of "moderation" doesn't stop junk-food from being junk.

I don't understand why you feel everyone but you is eating "unhealthful junk".
Give us some credit!! Many of us make healthy choices.
What we don't do is brag about our choices, assume everyone but us is an idiot, and continually suggest people should eat whatever you eat.

Maybe we could make a game out of this. Someone can pick a topic like pyramids or safety pins or Mary Tyler Moore and the rest of us can guess how many posts it will take before it gets turned into an unhealthy eating habit thread.

You are off topic again to attempt to prove your vegan point. You made the jump to food and James Gandolfini. All I did was respond to your non-sequitur.

No, not everyone, just the majority of the U.S. population. Remember, 65% are overweight or obese. Do a search of nationwide sales figures for fast food.

I have never discredited your diet because I have no idea what you eat. I simply say I'm suspicious of people who claim to eat everything in moderation because that seems to include all forms of junk-food.

What I don't do is brag about laughing and having a circle of friends and assume that everyone who lives a healthy lifestyle is an idiot and continually suggest that people should have more fun instead of worrying about their health.

Just wondering why you became scientific minded all of a sudden. That's not off topic; I never promised anything other than anecdotal examples.

Having re-read what the OP said, there was no mention of food. hence you are off topic on your own topic.

Great idea. :evil6:
And we can give unhealthy prizes to the winner.
