Default Dental Implants

Is there anyone on here who has had experience with Dental Implants??? I would like to see getting two of them and do not know the dentists in the area. I figured someone in the villages may have had them. The VA would rather PULL my back teeth and give me a partial plate. They go with whichever is more cost-efficient, although they do implants. I also have to have some bone grafting done. Would love some references!

Thanks for any help and advice in advance!!

Sincerely,
Tallulah

Some of the ads in the Daily Sun advertise implants. It is a place to start.

Due to an injury, i had a tooth implant last November in the Villages. It was a collaborative effort between two dental offices, Mulberry Dental and Dr. Caylor (the implant surgeon)
I've had caps on other teeth in the past, however, this process is definitely more involved - especially getting the titanium rod into the bone. After the implant is in, there is a temporary cap placed over it for at least 4-6 months before they can put the permanent cap.
Before you make a decision on which is best for you, weigh all of your options.
Would I do this again? Yes in this particular case.

I had an injury in high school that knocked out two front teeth. I had a partial plate for almost 30 years. I tried several times to get them, starting in 1985. First they said no way, then maybe, and then 60% chance, then in 1995 they said no issues, it will be easy. By then I also had a cracked crown root and a molar that had broken. So about 1 year later, 4 implants. Two front and two rear. Have had them now for 14 years with no problems. If I lose another tooth for any reason I would do it again in a heartbeat. Best decision I ever made. Expensive, but worth every cent.

Because of a childhood accident I lost two front teeth and through the aging process, others went along with them. I had 7 implants put in but my doc was in Los Angeles, he was superb. He taught dental implants at UCLA so I was confident he would do a good job. I also had to have bone grafting, which concerned me at first, but that went well also. I would do it again in a heart beat... Actually, I asked my TV dentist if he would put one more in to help a bite issue I'm having but he said it wasn't going to help.... Warning, though, it is definitely not cheap so don't try to go that way. I have heard many horror stories because of jobs gone bad. Good luck, Tallulah !!

Thanks for all of the tips/advice. I was hoping to find a Dentist in the Villages area that did this procedure. Somebody suggested looking in the Sunday's Daily Sun? I will do that and thanks again so much. I figured I could do it ONE tooth at a time since I know it is a costly procedure.

Best,
Tallulah
