If you go to an oral surgeon I am pretty sure that pulling that tooth is covered by regular insurance.

I went to Dr, Caylor, an oral surgeon located at Laurel Manor, to have a wisdom tooth extracted.. He is excellent and the procedure was painless other than writing the check. It was not covered by insurance. Same thing for my Illinois oral surgeon.

I’ve been fortunate in the past I extracted 2 teeth and found it to be somewhat of an easy process, I rinsed my mouth with vodka had a few good shots also then went to work on the extraction followed by another rinse and a few more shots and it was out, this was a late evening weekend dentist charge a premium during these times I figure I saved $600-750. The best tool to use was a letterman please remember to clean the tool before you pass out. My wife woke up to a tool on the coffee table with the tooth still in it and was mad because the blood dripped on our coffee table.

I also highly recommend Dr. Caylor for this. He does the anesthesia and it didn't hurt and there was no bleeding. On the other hand I had the same procedure at a local dentist using a needle for a shot beforehand and the dentist had a heck of a time pulling the tooth. He was a smaller man and by the end was practically laying on top of me to yank it out. I was so scared and crying I will never do it that way again. You get what you pay for.

I needed an extraction in 2015 and called Southern Trace Dental in the shopping center of the same name. It's to the left of Publix, betwen them and what use to be Crispers on the end. They got me in the next day, I saw Dr. Braun, a very nice guy. I had never gone there before, they x-rayed, extracted the tooth, put in a piece of artificial bone, stitched it close and it cost about $650. They have become my regular dentist, Dr. Lesh is the dentist that owns the place.
