Default Doctor Recommendations

We are finally making the permanent move to TV. I am in need of doctor recommendations for my wife and myself, 60's and healthy, using Medicare and Federal Blue Cross.

I am in greater need of locating a good internist for my 95 year-old father, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam Vet, with Medicare and Tri-care for Life. He is not ambulatory; still recovering from hip replacement surgery. Looking for someone who will act as his physician in lieu of VA care.

Any recommendations?

I will also be flying him into Leesburg. Any recommendations on medical transport from there to TV, Duval?

Thanks.

Attached is a list of primary care groups that I created. FYI, The Villages Health will not accept your insurance. They require specific advantage plans.

Regarding your father, you might call Leopard Transport of Central Florida, 866-204-4000, Leopard Transport of Central Florida, Inc. I volunteer at The Villages Hospital and I frequently see their non-emergency transport vans.

OP, you can also contact SHINE as they will give unbiased info on the local heath plans, IMHO Medicare and supplemental is the gold standard.
