I keep reading how great the villages health plan is. Unfortunately my husband will be in original Medicare with the medigap plan F. Does this mean we have to go outside the villages for healthcare?

It does not mean "outside The Villages." It means he cannot use a primary care physician that is at an office of The Villages Health. There are many, many primary care physicians to choose from. I have the same coverage as your husband. I see a primary physician that I like very much. His office is as close to me as many of The Villages Health offices.
