Dr. Jason Davis
Has any one used this doctor? He is a chiropractor and his advertisements say that he can relieve pain. I have chronic pain in shoulder and neck. I have been to doctors, other chiropractors, a neurologist. I have had every test there is and they all show that nothing is wrong. Just curious if he is worth my time and money.

Since you have already been too numerous appointments with various specialties, including chiropractors, and they concluded there is nothing wrong, perhaps you are not looking at the right kind of practice/expertise.
If you are retired you like the rest of us have much more free time on your hands. More time to pay attention to things that might otherwise go un noticed in the normal course of a day. If you are not active from an exercise and or social perspective the opportunity to pay attention to things is magnified even more. Plus exercise/activity is known to be a cure for a lot of what ails many people. Maybe a neurologist or a brain specialist is in order if you have not already done so. My casual, non expert observations. btk |

I would NOT try Dr. Davis....promises ALOT and charges "big time" (you pay ahead of time, for treatment). There's a long thread on here somewhere in the archives about him.
If you have back issues try Dr. Spurrier whose a neurosurgeon. You'll have to get a referral to see him but he's excellant. I had his non-evasive surgery (2 wk recupperation). He's conservative re: surgery and will recommend other things before doing it. My neighbor went to him and he recommended exercises which help the neighbor considerably!! |

Here's a link to an old thread....most people advised staying away from Davis Chiropractics.

I tried Davis Chiropractic for neuropathy. After $3,000 cash upfront, plus a few hundred dollars paid by medicare, I had zero relief. I can't recommend it.

An addendum to my previous post. I did utilize Dr. Davis for what I thought was a "pinched nerve" in my neck. It was when we were visiting so didn't "know" who to go to here for it.
Fast-forward a handful of years and it was found that I have rheumatoid arthritis. NOTHING he could have done would have helped with this..pain or otherwise. Keep checking with doctors until you get answers. It might behoove you to try Dr. Spurrier---though you'll need to be referred. He told me there was nothing wrong with my neck! Now that I'm getting proper treatment via a rheumatologist, I'm getting along much better. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!!!! Meaning the promises of Dr. Davis....... |

FYI Billie the Kid, I kick box 3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week, as well as walking my dogs every day. So, despite the pain I feel, I do not let it stop me from anything.
I appreciate the rest of the advice given. Thanks. |

I'm a big fan of Dr Boyles of Southern Trace Chiro. He relieved a headache that I had been having daily for almost a year!

My two cents worth is that I would go to a M.D. rather than a chiropracter as I really don't believe in them. I think Dr.Spurrier is your best bet to find out what's wrong.
Of course, two cents is not worth much these days.

Hi 2BNTV
You know that the amazing thing about GOOD Chiropractors or MD's, they can usually help you whether you believe in them or not...
