Default Eye Care

We are due for our eye exams and have still not yet chosen a provider, but have narrowed it to either MidFlorida Eye or Ocala Eye. I would prefer a specialist since my eye doctor in PA has been monitoring a tear in my retina and I wear gas permeable contacts. My husband wears bifocals and is not as needy as me. Any comments, either positive or negative, would be appreciated.

Both are excellent eye drs. Do you have insurance? If so, check with them both to see if they take your insurance.
My dh went to Mid Fla to the retina specialist and was very happy with him. I have heard good also about Ocala Eye.

I am a former patient of Ocala Eye. Waits there were just terrible. I liked my doctor, but he seemed to have me come in for very frequent visits.

My insurance changed, and now I go to Mid Florida Eye. Have only been there once, but was very pleased.

I think there are good docs at both places. Hoping waits won't be as long at MFE. I almost walked out a few times at Ocala.

Also,if you need surgery Ocala Eye sends you to
Ocala. MFE has a surgery center right on their campus.
