Default Fibromyalgia

Just moved to The Villages. I need a good physician to help me manage my fibro......any recommendations? Any to stay away from? Has anyone had good luck using their Primary Care physician instead of a specialist?

Thanks....

I have Lupus and go to a Rheumatologist.;;;;; my friend with fibro takes Lyrica.....as long as you have a diagnosis, ask your last physician to contact your current one. Good Luck!

There is a Fibromyalgia Support group that meets at the Truman Rec Center.
I'm sure you could find out a lot from them.

The Village's Regional Hospital has a physician referral service 24/7

They can be reached at 751-8585

They recommend doctors that are all in good standing with the hospital.

The best treatment for fibromyalgia is an anti depressant like Prozac.

A very close friend of mine has had it for years. It is real and it is a terrible affliction.
