Default Woman doctor?

As a male I feel really uneasy about an internist female as doctor.

Why not? Women have had to go to male physicians for years due to the lack of female physicians. There is a female physician up in our neck of the woods and the men swear by her medical skills. It doesn't hurt that she is adorable but she is also extremely thorough and an excellent Internist.

Never mind the fact that she is sharp enough to keep you alive and kicking due to her diligence and expertise monitoring your health, sigh....

I have an excellent female doctor here efrahin. Had one in Illinois too. This is not because I'm a woman, but I do find women doctors (at least the ones I've gone too) much more knowledgeable, caring, and less distracted then male docs. Women are natural caretakers and caregivers. I find this spills over into the medical profession.

As a male I prefer going to a woman doctor. I had one in N.J. for 15 years and she was more caring and understanding then previous male doctors I had gone to. She also had a conservative approach to treating medical problems which I liked. Can anyone recommend a good woman physician in the Villages or close by?

When we moved here we were not on Medicare and there was no doctor in TV who took our insurance. We chose a woman Dr in Leesburg, Dr Tesalona. Now we are on Medicare--husband and I- and neither will change until we are too old to drive the car.

When it comes to female health issues there is no way a man can identify with how something feels to a woman; therefore I prefer female doctors if at all possible. Even my curent dentist in Grants Pass is female and she is EXCELLENT !

Female Doctors are :#1:

I am new in The Villages and I am looking for a good female doctor. I'd love someone to give me some names. I am so use to going to a female doctor that it would be difficult for me to go to a male. By the way, I am female!

I recently started seeing Dr. Nalini Yelamanchi as my primary care provider. She's internal medicine, certified I believe. Her office is in Laurel Manor and is golf cart accessible.

I really liked her. Didn't feel rushed, she listened to my questions and comments, we joked around and generally I felt at ease with her. Took me less than 2 weeks to get a new patient appointment. I chose her because she's in the Aetna network which is our insurance, but she seems to be a good choice. I tried another Dr. in the Aetna network last year and was not impressed with him at all. He didn't even put a stethoscope on me!

For the post afraid of a woman doctor...what WAGON TRAIN did you get off??????
Hello? This is the 21st century. A lot of problems in this country could be fixed fast
if men, and some women, would realize that MISOGYNY is one of the factors
in a country's downfall. Women lead their classes in most med schools in this country.
Wake up and get with it.
