We did get the new 2 parts shingles vaccine late last year. We both had the earlier one a few years earlier.

About a month after the second one had a rash on my back that I thought was a bug bite.

Shortly after my wife encouraged me to have a DR look at my back. Too make a long story a bit shorter, turns out my rash was shingles.

Apparently my vaccination did not take full effect at that time but it did lead to a much lesser case of shingles.

If that was a lesser case do not want to get the usual one. I strongly encourage everyone to get the new 2 part vaccine.
