Do you still need bifocals or are you talking about reading glasses?
After cataract surgery I only needed reading glasses. They are less that $20 at Walgreens and cheaper at the Marion Markets. Z

I still wear trifocals after cataract surgery because of the prism in my lenses. Without it I get terrible headaches because my eyes don't want to focus at the same level.

Watch out for Peepers. I went there for my glasses after cataract surgery, and they gave me forms to sign that they said they would turn in to Medicare. Meanwhile, I had to pay up front for the glasses. Medicare wouldn't cover the whole shebang, but I was hoping for some sort of refund.
Months later (maybe three), I got news from Medicare that Peepers had either submitted the wrong forms or not enough information, and my claim was denied. I should have gone back to Peepers and tried to straighten it out, but it was months later, life is short, and honestly, this kind of administrative incompetence just wears me out, and I have to weigh wading through paperwork and arguing against just letting it go. I have a dollar amount in my mind below which it's too much of a hassle. If anyone knows of a place around here that will accept Medicare without making you pay up front, please post it.
