RN or NP??? There is a difference between the two. All NPs are still registered as a nurse in this state, yet are able to provide services like a doctor IF they renewed their license with certain notations. Other than that sorry you are so short sighted on the origin of the doctor. As there are many doctors that are not American that are actually better than the Americans. Also NPs tend to be far better than Doctors. You might want to get out of 1930....it's all changed and for the better.

If that's supposed to be a joke, I don't get it. NP's better than MD's????? Now that's funny! NPs are generally good at what they do, but they cannot do what a physician does. They cannot know as much as a physician knows. And they can't make decisions like a physician does. I respect the profession---I have employed more than a dozen NPs over the past 40 years, but they ARE NOT the equivalent of a physician.

Now, on to non-American doctors---I guess that wasn't supposed to be a joke either, but actually it is. I know more physicians than the poster will ever know, and best guess is that the top 10% of foreign physicians are "better" than the bottom 10% of American graduates. It's no different than stating some DOs are "better" than some MDs, but you have to hunt for them.

BTW---that's a 2024 assessment, not 1930 (when nobody knew nothing about anything). But good luck seeking out foreign physicians and NPs for medical care---let me know how that works out. On second thought, don't bother. I already know.

I don't use healthcare very often (knock on wood) but yesterday while I was cutting small pieces of trim on my miter saw, the thought came into my head that I don't even know where an emergency room is around here. Probably good information to know, lol.

Really??? In what do they have their PhD??? Medieval French literature ???

Most PCPs anywhere are M.D.s, some are D.O.s

PCP stands for Primary Care PHYSICIAN, not a PhD in gender studies:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I actually been to 3 nearby hospitals for heart ablations: Inverness, and 2 times to Leesburg. Both very good. My wife just went to Advent Health in Traveres and that seemed very good too. These hospitals are close by. My friends have gone to Orlando for knee replacements, and Shands for head issues.
Not only are hospitals a concern, but a bigger concern are the typical every day doctors your insurance covers, under Medicare or not.
Wife is not on Medicare and she has a more limited source of doctors. If you have a Medicare advantage plan, it’s getting harder to get hospitals that will take your insurance. Read the news from the last year on hospitals refusing to take advantage plans. I have a Medicare supplement that allows me to go anywhere, hospitals, doctors, specialist that take Medicare. If you want to us the villages health system (we don’t), you need to have an advantage plan

I think some PhD might be misdiagnosing things.

TV Hospital is currently still holding a one star CMS rating.

Find Healthcare Providers: Compare Care Near You | Medicare

I can't even get a family doctor at any TV facility. They only take 62 and Medicare advantage.
