Both my wife and I had cataract surgery at Lake Eye. Dr Vinny Gutti was our surgeon and we could not have been happier.

Paid the big bucks at Lake Eye. Don't waste your money. Before wore glasses for reading only. Now need for everything else

outstanding, Dr Jill Ireland did mine and it came out perfect

1 eye 1st week, 2nd eye 2nd week

St. Lukes and Dr. Ireland as well.

Wonderful experience and great results.

Both my wife and I, would highly recommend.

Lake Eye, Doctor Wherley

Had both mine done at Lake Eye.
No problems, they know what they are doing.
I had a great doctor, Dr. Wherley.

Lake Eye is excellent

Dr. Gutti is wonderful! I cannot say enough good about the excellent care I receive there. Cataract surgery on both eyes several years ago with no issues. My hubby goes there as well.

My brother went there. They put one lense in slightly misaligned so he still needs glasses. Go to St. Luke’s. Better results.

There are 'standard' lens covered by Medicare, and then there are several upscale lens and variations that are not fully covered. From my research some of these have side effects that people were not happy with. Also, there are some eye problems that cannot be corrected with new lens, specifically if you need a prism or if you have astigmatism, I have both so I went with the standard lens corrected for distance, and glasses for reading and these two corrections. I have been wearing glasses since age 11 so it was not a big deal to continue. I have 20/15 for distance without my glasses, and about the same for everything else with my glasses. Also, Medicare does not cover the LASER type surgery, I opted for the traditional knife, with no problems.

Might the stand on LASER use have changed? Straight from the Medicare website: "Things to know
If Medicare covers cataract surgery in your area, you can get it using traditional surgical techniques or lasers."

Dr Gutti at Lake Eye did both of my eyes. Standard surgery. I chose standard because I heard too many horror stories with the upgraded surgery. I only need glasses for reading now. Dr Gutti did a great job.
