Default linzess or trulance

Is anyone here on Linzess or Trulance ?

How high is your copay ?

Are you on medicare or private insurance ?

There is a copay assistance program offered but they won't/can't do that when a patient is on medicare.

I read last week that the FDA back in Feb 2021 approved a generic for the linzess drug. And read today that a settlement (aka lawyers) reached allows the generic to be made in 2030. Not today or next year. How many of us will be alive then ?

It appears I have posted in a dead zone or a black hole.

What does it take to get a posting in front of a few eyeballs ?

Maybe not many are on the drug. ( I had to look up what it was for.)
Or maybe not a subject anyone wants to talk about.
Don't give up hope, sometimes a thread need a relevant post, and then it gets rolling.

You are not the first or last to not get answers to very important questions. We have Doctors who are regular posters on TOTV'S but are out golfing now. Many people wish they could help you but they are in the bathroom giving it a shot because they feel like they gotta go.

I know it's a serious issue I just tried to lighten the situation for you until a knowledgeable poster comes on or until one of the other regulars suggests a different doctor or some other idea. Good Luck.

Perhaps Amitiza will work for you. The generic is Lubiprostone and was dispensed cheaply for us when other drugs in the same family were out of reach at $500/month. Best of luck. We understand the frustration and health concerns.

"Lubiprostone"

Do you have more info or contact pharmacy on the generic for this. All I see is again tier 4 costs.
