Default Local Honey

Does anyone know of a local honey supplier? I've heard that eating a couple spoons of honey a day will get rid of allergies. Brown's has honey from Floral City but I think that may be too far away but don't know for sure how "local" the honey should be.

Default local honey

I actually get local honey from the Whole Earth Pet Store in Spanish Plaines shopping center on 441 just north of the hospital. I give it to my dog for allergies.

The honey does seem to help. I have a dachshund that was always getting rashes on his stomach probably from a grass allergy. Since I have been giving him the honey the rashes have cleared up. It has to be locally made honey and by giving him a 1/4 teaspoon every day it helps to build up his immunities to the grass pollen. I was sceptical at first but it seems to work.

I was telling someone that five years ago, while staying at a NJ Ronald McDonald house, I met a woman from Texas who bought six jars of local NJ honey to prevent her from getting allergies while there. I had never heard of this before and now this inquiry, since I am suffering here in Florida, I may try this. Thanks your for this post!

Thank you MinneM. We have two dachshunds and they both have one problem or another. I might try to get them some honey. We are hoping that by moving to TV, they might get over some of their allergies.
