Default Medicare good news

The Medicare basic premium for 2015 stayed the same. Let's see how private insurance plays out. That should be interesting.

Chi-Town, according to the "Medicare and You 2015" booklet, this info was not available at print time. A call to Medicare revealed premium and deductables would not be available until 1st or 2nd week in November. My guess would be after elections....

The government issued a press release on this yesterday; it's true premiums and Part B deductibles are unchanged.

let's make sure we follow up and see how things work out in the overall.

My guess is that most insurances will go up. We will start to see the impact of things like pre-existing conditions now being covered for example....will definitely raise the expenses paid out by insurance companies. They can only recoup by raising prices and they will most definitely do that.

For starters my medicare part D prescription coverage provider has already advised me of the increases in premiums for 2015.

We should also leave room in the follow up for any minority reports....those who had no premium increases.
