The best are all in Ocala or Jacksonville.

What kind of health insurance do you have?

That will probably affect the health care choices you make.

Cardiologist - Dr. Georg Couturier. This office is very responsive to patients' concerns. 352-674-2080.
Dentist - Dr. Kelly McKnight. She's not cheap but doesn't "find" things to do in your mouth. 352-433-0263.
Gynecologist - Lake OB-GYN Associates of Mid-Florida. Douglas H. Moffett. Villages Office (352) 259-5649, Leesburg Office
(352) 787-1535. There are several doctors in this practice, 3 of whom are women. I've heard all are good.

That's like asking "what's the best flavor ice cream." You will get hundreds of different responses. Just like restaurants one person's "best" is another person's "worst." It also greatly depends on your insurance or lack of same. There are probably multiple dozens of threads on this topic so using the SEARCH function on the top of the page will give you lots to read about probably every type of doctor and facility in the area and surrounding areas. Good luck!

I would contact SHINE, (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) to get an unbiased opinion on what you may need.

Mailing Address: SHINE c/o Colony Cottage Recreation Center 510 Colony BLVD The Villages FL 32162 TEL: 800-963-5337 Alternate Phone: 352-750-1935 Email: information@elderaffairs.org

I have been in TV for eight years and contacted them last year and changed health insurance that suited my needs better!

It is daunting to find someone you want to entrust your health care to. I'm afraid I don't have much for you EXCEPT avoid Aspen Dental at all cost, even in an emergency situation. I have never encountered a bigger scam outfit. EVER. If it were just me, I'd question my assessment. But it was my DH's experience too, and 100s and 1000s of bad reviews that I didn't read until after-the-fact. My bad.

Dr. Couturier is my wife's cardiologist and provides excellent care. My wife just started seeing Dr Moffett and we are extremely pleased by his care and dedication. He calls my wife to give her updates and information, not an assistant.

I got a kick out of Dr. Moffett's father walking down the hall one day when I was there and saying, about his son, "Isn't he a fine lad?" and "My daughter is an attorney." So proud of both of them.
