Haven’t seen the ad, thank goodness. I make my own saline solution; a small amount of warm water, melt in a little bit of salt. Place in my clean palm - sniff up one nostril then the other. Very clean breath afterwards. I don’t find it gross.

I think Dew was talking about one of those snot pots where it flows up your nose and comes back out and you can view the contents...………. and EWWWW...no. YuckO….gross. . You aren't the only one Dew.

I have been using saline nose drops during this confinement and I have had fewer sinus headaches.

If you like really funny NSFW actual commercials check out the Poo-Pourri line of fine products on Youtube. The products are sold everywhere and the commercials are great but you won't see them on TV.

HA! I can remember when I was a kid my Dad was aghast at bra commercials on TV where they showed a real woman modeling a bra that looked like a piece of armor. Times have changed...

It is a much healthier way of treating nasal congestion.... whether from allergies, a cold, dryness.....than taking medication. I think it is a good health education advertisement.

Some years ago I had problems with nasal congestion and headaches. I bought a system made by Water Pik, I think, that gently squirted Lukewarm salt water up my nose in little spurts. So much better than a Neti pot! I used it every night for about a year, leaning over the sink with the water running out of my mouth. I know it sounds nasty, but it was so soothing. I could feel the pain disappearing as it squirted. Using it felt great, and I felt and slept much better afterwards, too. Great for a sore throat, too, used through the nose, as it reaches areas gargling doesn’t easily reach. I don’t use it now as I no longer need it.
