Had mine done at “optical outlets” located at the shopping center 441 and Rolling Acres Road, small shop lots of frames to choose from and I paid $59 for my line bifocals, wife paid $249 for Titanium rimless frames no line bifocals, real happy, most other places wanted a lot more for theirs.

I've had good service from Sam's Club.

I was there today, Sam's Optical is closed, you can't even try on frames because you would be touching something. They said, check back in a week or two.

Same thing at Wal-Mart.

Lange Optical out by Southern Trace shopping plaza. Great service competitive pricing

Costco

It's a drive but well worth it. Great selection and very reasonable prices. I let my Costco membership lapse after moving here but will probably rejoin when I need new glasses...or a new car!

I have been getting my prescriptions filled by Zenni for over ten years. The prices are about 1/4 to 1/3 of what you would pay locally. It takes a week or two as they come from California, but I would also suggest a “Progressive” lens instead of a straight “bifocal”. Titanium frames, the best, thinnest lenses with all the bells and whistles for less than $150.00

Zenni online is great. Husband has bifocals. Very happy. Sams when they open is great also. Bought bifocals at Zennis for $69

I would suggest you check out Beacon Advanced Eyecare, particularly the one in Lady Lake at LaPlaza Grand South, Bichara Boulevard, (near Spanish Springs). I have used them or some years and always found them to be quite good and helpful. There is another Beacon office in Leesburg, I would not recommend them.

I've used Optical Outlet near Best Buy several times. Quality has been good. Very good pricing. Takes a few days to get them.

I love Peepers in Colony Plaza.

We go to a local optician every year to have our eyes checked because our health insurance covers the cost.

However, they have a poor choice of frames, so we take our prescription to Wal-Mart to get our glasses. We have been very pleased with their choice of frames and the three pairs of glasses we purchased.

I get my tri-focal glasses and sunglasses through Sam’s Club. That’s where I get my eyes tested, too. I’ve been happy with them. I got contact lenses through them, too, but I couldn’t figure out how to get the lenses in and out and gave up.

Who do y’all go to for a check up? The last two times I went to Peepers in Colony but I couldn’t use the prescription they came up with, it was so far off it felt like I was in a carnival funhouse when I put the glasses on.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. John Deaton at Ocala Eye...he's in Laurel Manor Rec Ctr plaza (352.430.3356). I purchased new lenses/frames from them last time...pricey so I'll shop around next time

Once we took our prescriptions to SEARS because we had insurance coverage for glasses...I'd never use them again...awful experience, lousy frames
