Cool

OK...for a differing view

Skin Cancer Center
Dr. Mary Barber

Fantastic office and staff; Mary is a wonderful Mohs surgeon. I have never waited beyond my appointment time, when going there

Default Another vote for Dr Casper

I have lived in TV just over 3 years now, and am a Melanoma cancer survivor. Dr. Casper is the 4th Dermatologist in TV that I have gone to, and so far, I'm very happy with him. Went to Dr. Barbour's office first, & even though I told them over the phone that I am a Melanoma patient, I was seen by the older physician in the group & was not impressed. I believe he is now on the staff with another doctor. Upon recommendations from some neighbors, I went to another doctor (questionable whether he is even a Board Certified Dermatologist), & his PA performed surgery on the side of my knee, which turned into an open wound after a month! Went to another well recommended Dermatologist, and he wanted to surgically remove everything so that I constantly had stitches & was unable to do any physical activity. I finally nicknamed him "cut & carve" and left his practice after He was doing surgery on my abdomen & thought that I should have another mole biopsied that was very close to the site that he was performing surgery on, but that I should schedule another appt. for that procedure instead of doing it while I was there and already numbed.

In all honesty, if it was determined that I had another melanoma, I would drive the 1 hour plus to see my previous Dermatologist in Land 'O Lakes, FL, who performed the melanoma surgery on my face!

Can't do better than Dr. Casper ~ Alliant Dermatology in my opinion. Found him here on TOTV 2 yrs ago and very happy with his thoroughness and cordial office staff.

I totally disagree. I have had to go to a wound specialist and a plastic surgeon because of the outcome of the surgery performed by Dr. Casper.

Dr. Casper saved my life. Surgically removed a melanoma and actively pressed me on to oncological surgery at Ocala hospital. Professional, caring and highly competent. Remember, no dermatologist can decide the location of a skin cancer nor the problems posed by its place on one's body.

I trust Dr Casper totally.

Question

Where was your wound? Are you diabetic?

I recently had squamous removed from my mid leg and after 6 weeks it finally healed. I am healthy and take no meds.

Was told legs take longer to heal. Which is true.

Hope all is well now

Good reviews for Dr. Casper. Thinking of going to him. My husband & I have been going to Dr. Tran for years and considering changing this time around. Thanks for your input.
