Plus, beef is full of growth hormones, antibiotics, and steroids.
The majority of Shrimps, are farmed, live in $h*t, and have to be fed with drugs to keep them alive.
Salt, or too much of it, is good if you want a stroke, high blood pressure, or a heart attack.
However, I do like a nice fresh caught sardine fried in Olive Oil though.

I've been using cronometer.com for years to track my nutrition, weight, work outs, supplements, etc.

I like that it has graphs that can be set up to track whatever nutritional intake/goals that I need for the day.

It's free for a basic membership.

What is your opinion on organic coconut oil?

It's "plant based" but isn't it considered a palm oil? I've read that it's good for inflammation but not sure if it's up to all the hype.

I agree. I'm on a keto diet. First off, I cut out all sugar of any type. I'm amazed by what I can eat, which is plenty. There are groups galore on Facebook and elsewhere that post scrumptious keto-friendly recipes.

No. They’re lazy doctors and get kick backs for prescribing medications. Plenty of doctors will and should talk about nutrition. They just don’t hear in Florida, specifically the villages because “old people” don’t listen. They just want cure all pills that lead to other side effects then give you a pill for that. Diet is a much better option.

The reasons for this are varied, but I have found many doctors lack the necessary knowledge and eduction in the area of nutrition.

Does anyone here have the name of a good and solid nutritionist, or doctor, that is highly trained and knowledgeable in the area of nutrition and first attempts to treat chronic issues such as inflammation with diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes, rather than being quick to prescribe meds to treat the issue?

Thanks in advance for any useful posts on this issue.

Check you facebook groups. I’ve seen several nutritionists on there.

Maybe an exercise physiologist, not psychologist.

I’m the OP - checking back in - had my yearly physical yesterday - In reviewing my blood work numbers, doctor took me off EVERY single prescribed med I was on. First time totally med-free since the age of 40! This was all due to my own education and effort. Doctor never gave me any advice how to reverse chronic issues and inflammation - was just happy to keep on giving me pills to mask the symptoms. Staying thin, cleaning up one’s diet and exercising are crucial for healthy living as we age. I encourage others to spend time researching nutritional issues - you will rarely get this vital information from your doctors.
