Are you trying to save the co-pay costs? Why would you not go and see a doctor?

Bogie. She went to two GP's. I am going to bop you. Jeannie is a nice, smart person. And so are you.

In my case, the pinched nerve showed up in an MRI, which my doctor (Martinez Cruz, or just Martinez, thank you Bonanza!) immediately ordered. PT helped get rid of 90% of it, and I hope the rest will just give up and go away.

But I second the PT suggestion. (You do not need a doctor's referral for PT in the state of Florida.) Or a chiropractor, if you don't have an aversion to them.

That fact would have helped in the OP. And there is no need to shout!
BTW who made you the big bopper?:duck:

Chantilly lace, she got a pretty face...
no pony tail hangin' down
a wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk
she makes TOTV go round!

And she has a big squirt gun.

Then a physician's assistant in about 5 minutes said I had sacroiliac dysfunction and sent me for physical therapy. Few sessions and it was gone! Apparently, it affected a muscle or nerve in the abdomen.

I had sacro issues too keep a muscle relaxer for flares. If you calm the muscle and use anti-inflammatory NSAIDs, the body has a chance to heal while you are not in agony. PT and massage have similar effect.

Loved your post

Dr. Cruz was one of the GP's and my husband is a chiropractor, soooooo, Dr. Cruz RX'd Aleve, and my husband suggests ice, rest and patience....
Patience is not one of my strong suits but I do get immediate results from ice BUT not good for permanent results....Soooo, I'm back to the underwear...:girlneener::pray:

Looks like you've got all bases covered, doctor and live-in chiropractor!
I think you're going to have to work on that patience thing.

P.S. When I saw the thread title about pain in the groin, I thought for sure that someone would make a tasteless remark or post a joke about having a spouse who is a pain in the a$$. Dougbee???

jebartle 07-22-2014 12:36 PM

You won't believe this BUT

when you posted Dougbee (maybe that is why I get so tickled at his posts) that is my husband's name Doug B and he has the same sense of humor...

jebartle, on a more serious note... Aside from having the problem go away in time, I would like to know how to keep mine (and yours) from reoccurring. Before my problem started, I was doing a barbell weights class and playing pickleball. I don't mind giving up the weights so much, but giving up PB would just about kill me. And I'm sure you don't want to give up golfing.

What are we to do?

I thought about it, but couldn't lie. I am the pain in her a$$.
