Florida Rehabilitation Specialists 134 N Old Dixie Hwy, Lady Lake, FL 32159 on the north side of 466, between the highway and the Lady Lake Library. They have great staff and are very attentive.

I am a physical therapist from Boston. A 2 year graduate is a physical therapist assistant and works under and is supervised by the PT . Can not evaluate or do the plan of care - PTs working should have 4 year degree — DPT doctor of PT able to have own office but has 5- to 6 years of schooling . Not sure this is being utilized here. Have met people saying they are PT when they are not. The medical field standards in all areas are questionable down here.

Been to several. Unova on Rolling Acres for my Rotor cuff surgery. They were the very best for all physical therapy treatments if they are still there. Located in back of building. Physio Med is also very good.

It would have been helpful for the OP to specify what the therapy is for. But, as I recall, she needs someone skilled in dealing with strokes. Perhaps the doctor is the best one to make the recommendation.

All the issues we have had in 13 years here have been orthopedic-related. I've been to many facilities. My favorite so far is Physio Med, mentioned above. Once evaluated by the Physical Therapist, I was treated by the same PTA, never anyone else, and was his only patient during each session. The facility was new and uncrowded but it's been almost three years, so don't know if it changed. And the location is a bit awkward (466 at Rolling Acres).

I second Florida Rehabilitation Specialists at 134 N. Old Dixie Hwy, Lady Lakes (near the Lady Lakes Library). This facility was highly recommended by my doctor over all other facilities closer to my home. I just finished my rehab sessions with Jim there. [You work with the same therapist all the time]. Just THE BEST!

It's just outside TV but they have a wonderful staff (happy and upbeat) and the facility is pretty new. The Orthopaedic Institute of Ocala is just a little bit north of Stonecrest subdivision on Hwy. 27/441. You can get there by golf cart from TV also. Go through Lowe's, behind Aldi's, take back cart road by retention pond, past Walmart and take the frontage road to the Orthopaedic Institute of Ocala. Nicole was my therapist and did a wonderful job after my knee replacement surgery.

I started a thread on this a month or so ago and several people recommended Physio Med.

She has been evaluated by them and will start therapy tomorrow. They do one on one with patients.
