Default Podiatry

I am looking for a Podiatrist to fix a Hammer Toe. I really don't want to also fix a Bunion if I don't have to. Wonder if anyone has had experience with this problem and who you would recommend to fix it.

Different foot ailment. I use Dr. Wassell @ Tri County Podiatry also referred to as Tri County Foot and Ankle.

1585 Santa Barbara Blvd. in the Villages near the hospital.

I don't have anything specific about hammer toe but my wife went to Dr. Casteel at Villages Health Specialty center for some severely ingrown toenails. He was really good to work with. You don't have be be a member of Villages Health to use him.

Dr. Sterling Lakeside Foot and Ankle, 1330 Citizens Blvd Suite 301,
Leesburg, Fla 34746 352 728 1252. Podiatric Surgeon.

I had seen a podiatrist who was recommended by my doctor.
My issue was an infected toe. Other doctor gave me prescriptions
for antibiotics-did not help. The first guy basically abandoned me.
HUM-his office is now closed. By the time I went to Dr. Sterling, the infection had gone into the bone. He corrected mistakes of another podiatrist.
??????? Dr. Sterling saved my foot and possibly my life. On top of his skill, I HATE DOCTORS, they are nice people to deal with-THEY REALLY DO CARE.

Maybe not Richard Benjamin

And maybe not Felix Esarey/Tri-County Foot & Ankle

Try Shannon Floyd or John Scholl. No criminal histories. No drama. Better yet, go to someone outside of the villages.

I went to Esarey a couple of times (before he made the news on the DUI) and while he seemed competent enough, he also had what seemed to me a kind of..."bored with it all" bedside manner.

I originally called to make an appointment with Dr. Esarey. I was told he is on "Personal Leave". When I asked his expected return, the Receptionist replied it was "Unknown". Too bad, he comes highly recommended to treat my toe problem.

Stay away from Dr. Floyd..terrible bedside manner....and Tri County Podiatry..Dr.Scholl is very good, knowledgeable and excellent care or go to the Speciality clinic in The Villages.

When I was working if I made a mistake at most it cost a few bucks, and or time, to correct the matter no one died or was permanently injured.

A doctor deals with sick and around here old people. Imagine day after day of making decisions that effect LIFE and or QUALITY of LIFE. Oh and thanks to INSURANCE they have 15 minutes to make these decisions.

You view bored with it, might be so, might be self protection,
My cousin has quit medicine do to two nervous break downs.
Clearly, he allowed himself to care too much.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Dr Floyd. She is straight forward and I admire her for that.

If by "personal leave" they mean he had an inappropriate relationship with yet another employee (3rd time), then yes. If you'll take notice, all traces of Mr. Esarey have been quietly removed from their website and as many ads as they can at this point. Bet they're glad to be rid of that walking liability. "Highly recommended"....lol that's rich.
