Default Pre-existing immunity to Covid 19

Two papers exploring the possibility that previous exposure to other coronaviruses like the common cold may provide some immunity to Covid 19.

These are not peer reviewed yet, but if true, it could explain why a lot of the models were drastically wrong, and why outbreaks in countries all over the world seem to follow a similar pattern. Some curves are flatter than others, but they all seem to go up rapidly, then peak and start to slowly go down, usually over a period of 70-80 days.

This research also is also good news for vaccine development.

Everything is on the internet, all the major and minor media have web sites, so I guess none of it is true?

Most scientific studies are posted on the internet. They are not always correct but I can out out on a limb and tell you they are probably more reliable than what you might read on Dailykos.com

Cell is a legit peer-reviewed publication. bioRxiv is by definition a pre-proof publication, but the authors of this particular paper seem legit. I agree with GoodLife's point about previous exposure to other coronaviruses providing some immunity, then he loses me a little, but his sources are valid.
