Default Psychological Counselor Recommendations

I've been away for a while, but this I thought was a good reason to make a post...

I would like to get recommendations for a counselor for a friend of mine. He is told by his primary care doctor that he believes he has a mild case of depression and could possibly benefit from some counseling. He is not overly sad or anything like that. He says he suffers from really just one symptom...he is not as enthused lately about doing activities that he has always liked.

Anyway, no need for details, but I have no experience with such health assistance and neither does my friend. So we're hoping you can help. Recommendations please.

If your friend's PCP made a diagnosis of low level depression in your friend and made a recommendation that they may benefit from counseling they should have made a referral to a counselor. Your friend should contact their PCPs office to get a referral to a counselor especially since many healthcare insurances require PCP referral to these specialists since mental health counseling sessions can be pretty expensive.

Check out Florida's Best Psychologist - Village Mind and Body Institute | Lady Lake, FL read their many positive reviews from former and current patients here:

the village mind and body institute - Google Search,,,

I don't think they accept insurance, but they are relatively affordable.

I had a very good experience there and still return from time-to-time for "tune-ups".
