Default radial catheterization

Anyone had this procedure at TVRH? They are advertising this as new and improved, safer and quick recovery.

Anything to do with the heart I'd go to Monroe in this area.

Had it done last year at TVRH by Dr. Yelamanchi. The heart cath labs at TVRH are state of the art and while this procedure cannot be done for everyone, it is preferred because of lower risk and shortened time in recovery. I went in early in AM and went home shortly after a light lunch in recovery room.

If blockages are detected and require additional procedures you are informed about that in advance.

Like any heart related procedure you should discuss it with your cardiologist and get all of the information you need to make your decision.

Default not sure but...

....if it were me, I would want to be at a facility where there is a Cardiovascular surgeon available, not just the Cardiologist. I work for 25 Cardiologists up North. There is always the chance that open heart surgery may be required and it would be a lot easier to go ahead and have it done. Sounds like from Gracie's post that is not done at TV hospital... is that right?

On the other hand...our cardiologists do the radial procedure and have had luck with it.... up north that is.
