Dr Randolph mentioned several times is from Duke University. Top notch Dr who explains clearly with photos from scans. He is the best and I have nixed 4 retina specialists in Chicago suburbs for his care and expertise when I am here. His office is behind Walmart on 466. This practice has several offices throughout Fl. Younger retina specialist with the best care for me who has complicated eyes.

The Filutowski Eye Institute

This group of doctors did follow-up care for my detached retina. I used to live there before moving to TV. When I needed cataract surgery, it was worth it to go there. When my husband needed cataract surgery, we went there again. Only a bit over an hour drive. Worth it.

I hope it is okay that I am replying. I have not had retina surgery, however, I have macular degeneration and receive shots in my eye every several months. I see Dr. Maizel at Mid Florida Eye. I've been going there for 12 years and I am pleased.

I am a caregiver to my husband who can't walk. Before going to Mid Florida Eye I asked if they could accommodate a wheel chair (some places can't) and they said they could. They said my husband should have cataract surgery in one of his eyes. I was happy to know they could help my husband. We went back again and one of the ladies asked if my husband could move from the wheel chair to the bed unassisted. He can't. I was planning in my mind to get a PT to help safely move him to put the doctors mind at ease and they won't do this. They said they were referring my husband to another doctor who had beds that could be raised and lowered. The referral won't do the surgery either. I know that nobody wants to be sued but it is heart wrenching for me to know there is help out there and nobody wants to help.

I'm seeing Dr. HORESH, Retina surgeon at their Brownwood offices.

He met with my husband and I and we are convinced that he will be the one to do my retinal surgery.
Dr. Horesh's background as a retina specialist is supurb.

The Mrs is having surgery in June for Posterior Vitreous Detachment to be performed by Dr. Horesh. We were extremely impressed with him and his credentials.

I had a macular pucker surgery by Dr. John Lehr, MD. of Magruder Eye Institute (407-893-8200). Offices in Orlando and Opopka. Timed release shots every 2-3 years if needed. I suffered 3 years with another doctor until I was referred to Dr. Lehr. My office waits are short too.

Dr. Moon from Center for Retina and Macular Disease repaired my wife's torn retina (9 tears, it was emergency) and Dr. Randolph from the same practice has continued her care. We've been pleased with their staff and professionalism.
Best wishes for your situation.

I am looking for the same. Have a epiretinal membrane (macular pucker) in one eye.

I had a vitrectomy for a macular pucker at Florida Retina Institute about 5 months ago. The pucker has gone down substantially since then. I do have a cataract forming in that eye which is very common after a vitrectomy. Except for the cloudiness caused by the cataract my vision in that eye is getting closer to what it was before. I would recommend them.

Dr. John Randolph -- 352-751-9999 Mentioned a number of times herein. I've seen him for many years for my macular degeneration and highly recommend him. Best of luck to you.

I go to Dr. Hamed at Florida Eye Specialist Institute. He taught eye surgery to some of the Eye doctors in The Villages. I was referred to him from New Jersey after my eye surgery there. He did my cataract surgery. I've been going to him since 2002.
