I manage an oral surgery practice (not in this area). This originated from an insurance company advising us that due to the increased cost of PPE's and to give the staff hazard pay due to the fact that it is very difficult to put your staff in this situation, we could bill and they would pay an extra $10.00 each time we saw a patient. This is one insurance company. We have chosen to bill every insurance company this charge, but so far only one has paid. We have made the decision not to pass this charge on to our patients, though our expenses are much greater than they were before Covid. Our income is much less as we are seeing less than a third of our previous schedule.

You are wrong about that. Dentists and hygienist have been wearing gloves as a standard practice for over 30 years. There is a virus that causes AIDS that can be transmitted via blood.

Time to change dentists.

Was charged a $ 10 fee for a mask at Rolling Acres Dentistry. I had my own mask, but still got charged. Had to take it off anyway in the chair. Had another problem. Sat in their waiting room the next day for 2 hours before getting in to have fixed a MISTAKE that THEY made. Will put that office in my rearview mirror!

When, exactly, are you planning on finding out exactly who runs what around here? There are classes you can take to find out, if you took the trouble. Otherwise, your comment suggests that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

So, if the Morse family is the landlord, what exactly does that have to do with what a tenant charges for their services?

Your dentist is obviously taking care of his bank account instead of his customers. Someone else will be happy to take over. If you don't mind giving me the name of the dentist, I'll be happy to never go to him.
