Executive golf is certainly NOT a money maker. You are paying your dues no matter what

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Squares should require masks

Given that study and the fact that practically no one wear masks, or distance themselves, at the City Fire bar & inside the square dancing to music shoulder to shoulder, it's no wonder the Villages daily infections have sky rocketed.

Goes to show you what I know about COVID and what I DON'T know about grammar. I always thought "golf" was a noun and not a verb. You don't "golf"....you "play" golf. Just kidding around 'bout such a serious situation.

It loses money most places

How sick was the teenager? Did he pass it on to any one else? SK should have followed the case through.

wamley 12-12-2020 08:23 AM

Hard to be that golf is their ONLY INTERACTION since it takes several days since contact with the virus to show infection.

We have known for many months that anyone sitting within forty feet of an infected person .... with air flow over the infected person blowing toward the second person .... is likely to get it. The transmission depends on the amount of time of exposure. This may be a new awareness ... it is not new news.

May not be a big money maker, but it sure is a big money loser if you have no income from all these golf courses that require a great deal of maintenance even when their shut down.

However I am a golfer and believe it is safer then eating out in the CC that are attached to the Golf course and many other activities. We have to live among a great number of threats to our lives. This is another and we need to be careful. Just ask those that ride bikes in TV

That is the way science works. It is a novel virus so scientific studies are being performed throughout the world. As more information is proven, the studies get published. There is specific criteria for the validity of studies before they are published.

The fear mongering it continues, scientific facts prove the virus is only serious on people over 70 years with underlying health issues. The vast majority of those infected have minor headache loss of taste and smell
for few days. Facts are 99.9 % of those contracting it do not die, 95.7% of those over 70 years of age survive.

Lives and careers are being destroyed by the draconian actions of some states. Depression, suicide, drug abuse, bankruptcies, divorce, child abuse, crime and so on. Do you think the folks in food lines are any less likely to catch Covid than patrons of a restaurant?

We should not be so insular that we are blind to the devastation being meted out to those who are in very low risk categories for death . I believe that Florida has found the right balance.

Perhaps it should be the responsibility of retirees with reliable income to take the proper precautions and should stop demanding that others risk financial ruin and other life altering events. Maybe it is not the small business owners and their employees who are the ones being selfish.
