It depends on the PA or NP. I’ve got two in mind. One was outstanding, so thorough, but she left the medical practice. The other, although lovely personality, wasn’t as proficient and was conferring with her physician a lot on everything.

We don't live in the Villages but we go to an urgent care facility in Ocala. I had a very bad cut finger a couple months ago. I was treated there and was impressed with the PA that treated me.

Correct, but after using Adam Santos urgent care, he is now my "Doctor" and I see him ever 6 months for appointments. When specialists ask me who my doctor is, I say Adam Santos. I know he's a PA, but he is excellent at doctoring.

Perhaps you should read what I said... Drove home on "deathbed" Clearly not true-remained alive to enter internet and type. Mis-diagnosed by MD, maybe true or not true no way to know other than ... well still alive. If you are that ill I would imagine walking much less driving to be incredibly difficult, and yes when deciding on whether its safe to drive, the safety of the other people on the road should cross your mind. Maybe I read everything with a grain of salt.

Well, since you doubt the situation, here are some facts to contemplate. When one’s on their deathbed their only thoughts are either to try to stay alive or give up. So, the choice in that circumstance is to either get home the only way possibly or to curl up and die on the spot. And yes, both walking and driving were nearly impossible. Both the mind and all internal organs were compromised, and the safety of others weren’t even being considered for rather obvious reasons. When your red blood cells are being rapidly destroyed by an infectious disease, you have been basically slowly drowning on land for two weeks, your liver, kidneys, and mind are failing, you are totally dehydrated, you have lost 35 pounds in the last two weeks, your spleen is about to explode from being clogged filtering out dead red blood cells, and you are beyond describable agony, you have to make that choice. I decided to attempt to drive the golf cart home after midnight and try to live. I wouldn’t have made it home as I couldn’t find my way out of the parking lot in my compromised state. Fortunately, two women in another golf cart came to my rescue and graciously became my guiding light and ushered me home. If my wife didn’t then jump into her car and drive non stop 23 hours to our Villages home and bring me to a real hospital in Gainesville, where they immediately put me into critical care, then yes, I wouldn’t be alive and making posts on TOTV. And the so called doctors at the Villages Hospital ER determined, after 12 1/2 hours, that I erroneously had a urinary track infection and kicked me out the door to die. I am an extremely reasonable person and didn’t expect them to immediately diagnose what was killing me. All the incompetent idiots had to do was see my oxygen level and red blood cell count were critically low, something a first year resident who barely passed their class could easily figure out.

So yes, you are reading things with a grain of salt and need to lighten up, take a deep breath, and recognize reality.
