Question Villages ER

When we moved here almost 8 years ago and there were around 55,000 residents and i saw the hospital had 196 beds, compared to where i lived for 60 years, it seemed way to small. I lived in a town of around 50,000 and we had 2 full service hospitals each with 250 beds. We also had a large hospital 15 miles away with 100 beds. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out in the busy season, this is woefully short. The problem here is how do you staff for 100,000 when some months you only have 70,000. restaurants and other stores just adjust employees hours. A hospital has professional nurses and dr.'s who are full-time all the time. There is no easy answer but people will have long wait lines certain months of the year if you end up in the er or need a room when they are full.
