Question Villages Healthcare to accept...

...Florida Blue medical insurance next year, according to that 'other online news site'. Does anyone know more about this?

Probably could call the insurance folks for the scoop as they'd be able to best answer your question.

I just scoured their site and see nothing about insurance at all.

At this second I would find it to be very rough to leave United Healthcare after the way they have come thru for me in the past several years. Even though it probably means nothing to them I like the idea of trying to be loyal.

However, if the new plan that is presented is just too good to pass up, see ya! We'll see. If the $$ Deal is Close $$ I'll stay with UHC.

It was published in the Daily Sun about 2 weeks ago.

Already being discussed here: The Villages Health offering second insurer

The great news is - now people who choose The Villages Health have a choice between two Insurers. Competition is a good thing.

One reason to change to Florida Blue is that they will have coverage for Shands and Moffitt. That's very compelling.

Since Florida Blue is part of the BCBS network, wouldn't that imply that ANY BCBS advantage plan would be accepted?

Based upon the logic that TV does not accept all United Healthcare Advantage plans just the ones custom made for TV I doubt any BCBS plan would be acceptable.

Really, I am in the process of signing up for Medicare and The Villages Heathcare system told me they accept all five United Healthcare Advantage plans.
