Glad to hear things have improved. Years ago I was admitted, they lost tests results, leads came off several times in the middle of the night and no one but me noticed even though they were supposedly monitored by an individual. They obviously weren't. My husband was there 3 times, each time test results were never found. This has nothing to do with the wait times, had everything to do with their record keeping. I am happy to hear that new management is having a good effect on them.

The staff, is awesome, He has a heart condition, with many other complications,Scared for his safety, but they arde assuring me, he is safe. They want to release him, but, his condition is monitored, and are running more test. I just want to thank all the Medical teams, Nurses and Drs. for their concern and vigilance, during these trying times, Thank you to The Village's HOSPITAL, for all you have done for my husband GOD BLESS and STAY SAFE.:

That's because UF Health has taken over. My mom had a heart attack last July and after an overnight at TVRH she was transferred to UF Health in Gainesville for surgery. Everyone there, right down to the janitors, were so great, nice and friendly. This is a great change for TVRH.

I hope your husband is doing well and you too in this trying time.

I still wouldn't go there. I would go to Ocala or Gainesville if needed.

2018 is not recent news, the university took over in January.

Blessing to you and your husband, it's a good feeling knowing a loved one is in good hands. Wishing him a speedy recovery. UF Shands has taken over the hospital and I'm glad to hear thngs are going well..

I also love dogs myself, but please don't take them into hospitals unless they are truly SERVICE DOGS. If dogs can get the caronavirus, dogs can also carry other diseases. Stay safe.

I have lived in The Villages, permanently for the past 10 years. I always hear people complaining about The Villages Hospital. My husband was in there when we first moved here because he had lung cancer and he had 1/3 of his lung removed in The Villages Hospital, besides which the dr. who operated on him was my husband's age of 71 at the time. Well, he operated on my husband and my husband did not have to go for any treatments of radiation or chemo. My husband has been cancer free since. We have a great deal of faith in The Villages Hospital. Let's face it, like anything else, people are going to find good and bad in everything.

I truly hope the villages hospital is improving. I had a very bad experience which cost me pain, suffering, and a trip to a competent ortho surgeon. Three years from my life. I want them to succeed, and if after two or three years they get an A+ rating I would consider using them. Till then, I’ll do my best to avoid them. They need to make some sea changes, more than just a new logo, to regain my trust. I’ll be looking to read about more good experiences, but I need to see real hard data from evaluations.

My husband went to the ER and was seen right away. He was admitted and received very good care there. The ER doctor acted quickly to place him on antibiotics right away. It did take about 12 hours for him to get transferred to a bed. He wasn't wild about the food though. Most all the RNs were really good and explained what they were doing and why. He saw doctors regularly. I would have no problem going to The Villages ER or hospital again.

The Villages has a one star rating from the Federal government.
That's all I need to know.

When the ratings change, you will know it is changing. Until then, you could have had a good visit.

In February of 2018 I came into the hospital ER at 9:00 AM. I had some tests and was to be admitted. I sat there until 7:00 PM waiting for a room. I wished that since I was waiting for a room, I could have been taken to a different place to sit with more comfortable chairs for one thing and not to be exposed to every thing that came into the ER.
