I think there should be better communication between the doctor's staff and hospital staff. I was given one time by doctor to show up and another time by the hospital.(minor issue I know).

I saw at least 10 people in my out patient room, going over my chart, asking the same questions, signing it and then leaving. The anesthesiologist took three phone calls while talking to me, reading my chart and signing it. My procedure was scheduled for 12:30 and at 1:00 I was still in the out patient room. Finally some one comes rushing in and we find out that my name had been erased off the procedure board by accident when they sent another patient home. They took all the monitors off me and start wheeling my done to the test room. All of a sudden my blankets and gown are soaked down by my thigh area.

They never hooked up my IV and when they grabbed every thing to move me they never noticed. Once down in test room I had to ask for new blankets because I was cold and wet. They start too hook up IV and after putting bands on my arm, nurse states I hope these aren't latex. Luckily not but a little too late it they were. Hooked up IV down in wrist area and very painful when she put it in. Don't understand why down there.

Never once did anyone coming into my room go over to the hand sanitizer on the wall and clean their hands. The only time I saw a glove was when nurse put one(just one hand) on to insert IV.

Needless to say I am not impressed with The Villages Hospital. These were minor things but show the lack of checks needed insure that all patients are receiving quality care.

Just needed to get it off my chest.

Judging from the terrible experience you describe that hospital needs a shake up from top to bottom.

I will be letting the hospital know about my experience but I prefer to put it in writing and sent directly to the administrator.

we all know the powers that be at the hospital have over the years heard from many, many residents. That being true and there is no doubt that it is....and nothing has changed would suggest what?

They are like congress; they are going to continue to do what is good for them and not the constituency/patient/cuatomer.

There are alternatives available within a reasonable distance from TV that after the drive and care administered = less time than the short ride and long wait at TV hosptial.

Bad service does not warrant a reward of customer loyalty.....not one single bit.
