So, CNN, MSNBC, ABC etc., no, chicken little the sky is not falling

Also, I'm amazed the same people who are clamoring for an instant vaccine are probably the same ones that pass on their yearly flu shot

But there are a helluva lot more flu cases than covid-19 cases.

To rephrase it in mortality rates, the best estimates for coronavirus mortality is slightly less than 1%, mostly in the over 60 crowd
The mortality rate for seasonal influenza runs about 0.1%.

Now watching another boring Coronavirus news briefing by VP Mike Pence. Why does it have to preempt regular TV programs on all TV channels? They just told me to wash my hands again, and to not wear a mask. I'm not wearing a mask, but I think that wearing one while travelling would help you to prevent yourself from touching a contaminated surface and then touching your mouth. Why doesn't that make sense?

For all the critics out there, the administration is doing EXACTLY what they should:
Behind the scenes, they put together a panel of experts, working with state health departments, positioning supplies, enacting reasonable travel bans and funding vaccine research.

On the public side, they are telling people not to panic, wait and see, publishing reasonable infection control procedures and to listen to the CDC and state health authorities.

What would you like the president to say? I'm not talking Trump, but ANY president----Obama, JFK, or God forbid a president Sanders---Everyone panic, sell all your stocks, fill your garage floor to ceiling with "supplies", stay at home and don't go to any stores or entertainment events because this is the end of civilization as we know it? Would that make the critics happy?????(Probably still wouldn't make the media happy)

Start with Dr. Antony Fauci. He's been at NIH for decades, authored quite a few articles, wrote chapters in Harrison's, which is the gold standard of medical textbooks. Never met him, but know him by reputation quite well.
Then there's Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the CDC
