Versus "thriving on lies?"

I'll take the former.

Started online and has become a total fiasco.
Next it will be canned food and bottled water then anything left on the shelves!
Yet not one of the panic purhased items will stave off the virus.
The human body can survive 2-3 weeks without food, but just days without water, less if unwell and with a fever.
Personal hygiene is the best method of defense.
If the condition got so bad to prevent water from flowing from the tap then you may be in trouble.
The best solution then, would then be to sit in a crouched position. put your head between your knees, and kiss your a*** goodbye!!
Until then relax and enjoy the day.
Aldi's already started rationing cases of water - limit 2 per customer.

Publix had no more surface disinfectant wipes on the shelves, and was out of hand sanitizer two days ago with back-order still not delivered as of yesterday.

CVS had no alcohol prep pads available - which is a REALLY bad thing for people who actually need them for medical purposes.

Thankfully there's still bleach and bottles of rubbing alcohol around. I already had 2 boxes of nitrile surgical gloves from a year ago but I use them to grip things since I don't have enough oil on my fingertips for traction.

A recipe for your own hand sanitizer:

Get the strongest % of rubbing alcohol you can find at the pharmacy (usually comes in 2 varieties).
Get a bottle of pure aloe vera gel (not stuff that contains AV - I mean 100% pure AV with nothing else in it) at the vitamin shoppe or other supplement store. Also don't get juice. You need gel.
A hand-pump bottle.

Make a blend of 60-65% rubbing alcohol to 30-35% aloe vera gel. Stir well in a bowl then funnel into the hand pump.

You can add a couple of drops of pure essential oil to make it smell better - eucalyptus, cajeput, or wintergreen will be more useful for decongesting if you happen to be feeling a bit stuffed up while using the hand sanitizer (inhaling the fumes - do NOT put this on your face!). Lavender for an all-purpose nice smell. Bergamot and sandalwood (if you can find the real deal) can combine to make something that actually resembles a very light cologne.

Did I miss then mention of the Corona Virus in Post #105. Stop wasting our time with such posts. I'm on here trying to find out information that may save me or a member of my family or a friend from this possible beast. Instead of all this other Non-Sense that is posted.

I read a good article that had some very good advise. It said there is no need for most people to waste their time washing their hands when the first thing they do after the hand washing is grab their germ infested smartphone.

Understood.

People are afraid...whether justified or not, but those we rely on to keep us informed change their tune from evening news to the Hannity Show.

Best antidote to fear is TRUTH

Default The question of this thread is what are you doing about the pandemic/corona virus?

I am waiting to see. I/we always wash our hands when coming back to the house after a trip to shop or do anything.

Today I am going to buy some hand sanitizer which I have never used before. I continue to go to all four of the activities I do every week and Helene goes too and Henry plays eighteen holes every week, four days...…..

If there is a confirmed case here or nearby, I will hope all three of us will listen to the mother command to shelter in place, but I am afraid the golfer will still continue to golf.

We will listen to the skilled medical people and follow their advice.

This thread has become another political one and there isn't a virus in the world who gives a crap how you vote.
