Default Worn out wrist help

I have been told that I have Scapholunate Advance Collapse of my left wrist, ugh. This started last January. I had a shot in June that helped, but now being a pain again. I tape and wrap to golf.

One doctor told he could operate, 1 month in a cast, 2 more months recovery then I can golf. Not a fan of being cut on.

Second doctor told me an operation may not work, recovery could be 6 months, to just take a pain reliever, rest and live with it.

Any thoughts on ways to improve the old body would be appreciated.

Try another specialist. I got similar news and the CURE was Baclofen and a Wrist Brace while sleeping. I was also very suspicious about CBD Oil but I am almost certain it added to my Pain Loss in my wrist. Not any longterm help for my knees or back. Good luck.

I have had luck with Tommy Copper Compression sleeves so I heard there is one on the way for my wrist. I'm with you on the operation route.

I am sleeping with a brace. Did Baclofen a have any side effects? CBD oil hasn't helped the wrist, but it did help the back.

I looked back at the record of the Doctor visit and was started on Baclofen and Gabapentin at the same time.

I've been taking Baclofen twice a day for over two years and it has helped with spasms and stiffness and pain in my back and knees but it solved the wrist pain totally along with the brace.

I wish I could have stayed on the Gabapentin because it really relieved almost all the pain but the side effects for me were wicked. Way worse than the original problems.

Sounds like I need to talk with the doctor about Baclofen. Did you ever get a shot? Thank you for the info.

No shot yet but they did a check for Cancer by way of a device that took out layers of skin. Ended up having a Pre-cancerous small lump dug out by a Dermatologist. The pain was very bearable for about 2 months. The lump and the pain are back but nowhere as bad as before. I'm grateful for the progress we are making and happy with my Doctors.

I used Water Edge Dermatology on 441 across from Home Depot. They seem to really care about their patients.

We are so grateful to doctors these days. I am on borrowed time now because doctors keep patching me up. Thank you for all your advice.
