As a snowbird who bought a home in an established neighborhood, it may be a good idea to move to a newer area or buy a villa where there are other people who are part-time. We love our home but find our friends in other ways--and we have friends who are from our neighborhood up north who are also seasonal. We just wish we had bought something sooner as we wasted a lot of money on rent.
