new home carpet problem:
I'm wondering if anyone has had dealings with Mohawk Carpets after your carpet was determined to be defective; and if Mohawk made a reasonable offer to reimburse you instead of reinstalling the same contractor quality carpet and padding. Our carpet was determined to be defective within the warranty period. Mohawk sent a photographer to take pictures and we were told that an inspector would be contacting us to look at the carpet. It is over two months later, the inspector never came but when I called was told that it was determined to be defective by the photos. We would like to take this opportunity to change the flooring but the rep from Mohawk said that he was almost embarrassed to tell us what the monetary reimbursement was and we were lucky that they were willing to lay new carpet. anyone had success grieving this? Thanks
